Border Design
Work with Hortus Pink Landscapes to create dream borders in your garden
At Hortus Pink Landscapes, each border design project is focused to enhance plant biodiversity and promote client well-being, while positively impacting the environment.
Our expertise in complimentary planting ensures every garden reaches its full potential, elevating your investment with stylish planting schemes that add a 'wow-factor'. We offer comprehensive planting services across Essex and Suffolk, integrating ecologically balanced dry garden schemes to reduce water consumption.
Our focus is on sustainable garden planting schemes with practical border design changes for a thriving, wildlife-friendly garden. Sustainable garden planting schemes are more than a trend, they’re a practical approach to healthier soil, happier wildlife, and a garden that thrives through changing seasons. In the UK (with attention to Essex and Suffolk), where weather can be unpredictable and soils vary from sandy to clay-heavy, designing with sustainability in mind helps your outdoor space remain productive, beautiful, and resilient. This guide dives into the benefits of sustainable garden planting schemes in the UK and offers actionable design tips for implementing changes, utilising existing plants, and planning new installations.
From English cottage gardens and tropical gardens, to mediterranean and dry gardens, our planting designs consider soil type, light levels, and local conditions to ensure thriving, sustainable gardens.
Being a 4th generation professional horticulturalist means we have the knowledge and skills to determine which plant varieties will be most suitable for any location or situation to help plants thrive. Combine this with expert problem solving, beautiful and resilient plant combinations, educational ‘work alongside us’ offerings and free ongoing WhatsApp advice, you’re in safe hands.
Whether part of a full garden build or as an independent border design or refresh, our services include border assessment, plant selection, installation, and ongoing care, priced depending on garden size and garden conditions. Let us transform your planted outdoor space into a vibrant sanctuary that enhances both property and lifestyle.

“I am delighted with my garden after Zoe gave me advice on how to refresh and reshape the borders. She has extensive knowledge of plants and what would grow best in the different areas of my garden. Zoe is a very friendly person, works very hard and nothing is too much trouble for her. She provides advice on after care of the plants, which is very helpful and also offers a maintenance service. I would have no hesitation recommending Zoe to anyone.”
